Zion Lutheran wants to be more than just a place you visit on Sundays. We want to be your life partner ... helping you navigate daily living whenever you need us and with whatever burdens you may have. We also want to be a haven for you or your family from the stream of seemingly bad news in our popular media nowadays.
Let us be the first to offer some Southen hospitality. We're delighted you have discovered Zion and invite you to visit us. Our 'welcome' mat is always out.
Zion Lutheran is located in Lexington, SC, in the center of the state. Our community is just 10 minutes from South Carolina's capital city (Columbia) and home to every amenity you’d expect of a major metropolitan area, not to mention spectacular Lake Murray all 50,000 acres of it just two miles from the church doorstep.
We're also just a couple of hours from South Carolina's world-famous beaches and the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Getting to either area is no problem. Three interstate highways intersect here I-20, I-26 and I-77, with I-85 and I-95 just an hour's drive away.
More than 583,000 people call this area their home, a number expected to increase to 650,000 by the year 2010, and to one million by 2025. According to the Census Bureau, in Zion's Lexington County, 48.9% of the population is male, 51.1% is female. The median age is 33 years. The ethnic make up is 83.3% White, 14.3% Black, 3.0% Hispanic and 1.1% Asian.
We've included these local links for your convenience. If you have questions about our town, feel free to call the church office anytime for additional helpful information.

P.S. We would love to hear from you before you go. Also, if we can assist you in any way, please call us anytime. (803) 356-2297. Thanks.
